Position Overview:
The Jefferson County School District is seeking a passionate and organized Certified Site Coordinator for its after-school program. The Site Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students. This role involves planning and implementing activities, managing staff, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the after-school program, including scheduling, activities, and staffing. - Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes academic enrichment, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. - Supervise and support program staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. - Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and safety standards. - Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders. - Monitor student attendance and engagement, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. - Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts. - Organize family engagement events and opportunities for parent involvement in the program. - Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to align after-school activities with school goals and student needs.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations.
- Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g., instructional technology)
